M. Angela Baker joined the AGHE staff as the Director in July 2008. Her career spans twenty-six years of non-profit and association management in the Washington Metropolitan area.

Her most recent assignment was with the AARP Foundation where she served as the project director for a disaster recovery program for seniors affected by hurricanes in the Gulf Coast.

Over the years, Angela has held senior staff positions for national organizations such as the National Council of the Aging, the National Council for the Social Studies, the Appraisal Foundation and the American Public Health Association.

Angela’s educational accomplishments include a M.A. degree in administration (health care focus) from University College, University of Maryland and a B.A. degree in psychology from the West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
