Bringing Greater Awareness and Visibility to Aging and Aging Research
Careers in Aging Week (CIAW) is an annual event intended to bring greater awareness and visibility to the wide-ranging career opportunities in aging and aging research. Universities and colleges across the world participate by sponsoring events at their schools or in their communities.

Events and Activities
Each year campuses organize events to fit the needs and interests of their academic community, as well as the aging community around them. Examples of events include informal gatherings, panel discussions, film screenings, poster sessions, and career fairs. Careers in Aging Week is always the first full week in April (Sunday to Saturday).

Now Available! Award Application
Educational institutions are invited to apply for one of up to 20 $400 awards for their planned activities. In addition to the 20 awards, NHCGNE will offer up to 9 awards to current NHCGNE member schools as well as Schools of Nursing from the following states: Maine, Vermont, West Virginia, Mississippi, New Mexico Wyoming and Nevada. The application guide is available, download it here. Deadline to submit is 11:59 pm EST on February 3, 2014. Questions e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. Winners will be announced via e-mail on March 12, 2014.
