Bringing Greater Awareness and Visibility to Aging and Aging Research
Careers in Aging Week (CIAW) is an annual event intended to bring greater awareness and visibility to the wide-ranging career opportunities in aging and aging research. Universities and colleges across the world participate by sponsoring events at their schools or in their communities.

Events and Activities
Each year campuses organize events to fit the needs and interests of their academic community, as well as the aging community around them. Examples of events include informal gatherings, panel discussions, film screenings, poster sessions, and career fairs. Careers in Aging Week is always the first full week in April (Sunday to Saturday).

Educational institutions are invited to apply for one of a limited number of $400 awards for their planned activities. The deadline has now passed. Questions email firstname.lastname@example.org.
2014 Careers in Aging Week Award Winners
The Gerontological Society of America (GSA), in partnership with The Association for Gerontology in Higher Education (AGHE) and the Geriatric Social Work Initiative (GSWI), is pleased to announce the winners of the 2014 Careers in Aging Week awards. The awards provide $400 to support CIAW events that raise the awareness about the exciting opportunities that careers in aging provide. This year 17 educational institutions will be receiving awards.
