POSITION IN GERIATRICS
The Multicampus Program in Geriatric Medicine & Gerontology at the David Geffen School of Medicine, University of California, Los Angeles is recruiting an outstanding scholar to engage in educational program development, management, applied research and teaching in the areas of geriatric medicine and gerontology. The successful applicant will develop project and program initiatives in geriatric workforce preparation, practice improvement, interprofessional education, minority aging, and dissemination research. The successful applicant will also utilize management skills and experience to work with professional staff and interprofessional colleagues to develop, design, plan, implement and evaluate educational programs and projects within the Geriatric Education and Coordination Unit of the UCLA Multicampus Program in Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology. Qualifications: Applications are welcomed from those with doctoral degrees (PhD or equivalent) in relevant areas such as gerontology, public health, social welfare, nursing, and education. Successful candidates for this position will have earned a doctoral degree at the time of application and will have demonstrated experience in grant development, educational program planning and evaluation, project and budget management, evaluation and dissemination research, cross-site program collaboration, and teaching. Preference will be given to applicants with evidence of potential for obtaining external research funding, educational program development and implementation experience and publications in relevant peer-reviewed journals.
