The Academy for Gerontology in Higher Education’s Executive Committee, is the Unit’s primary governing body.  It consists of elected and appointed leaders from the AGHE membership and is supported by the AGHE Director.

The role of the Executive Committee is to provide leadership and guidance for the Unit; promote and implement activities related to the educational mission of the Unit; and to protect the interests and welfare of the membership. Committees and task forces have been established to oversee individual aspects of governance.

The AGHE bylaws (a subset of the GSA bylaws) are the Unit’s chief operating document.
